British political scientist and Times columnist Mark Galeotti believes, what in 2025 Ukraine will be able to launch a new large-scale counter-offensive against Russia.
According to the political scientist, for this purpose Kyiv will have new Western equipment, deliveries of which continue, and new brigades, which will be able to be formed by then.
Besides, before a new counter-offensive, according to Galeotti, Kiev, obviously, may receive permission from the West, and especially Washington, to use their weapons for strikes deep into Russia. We are talking primarily about the American ATACMS longer-range missiles and the British Storm Shadow.
A Times columnist also predicts, that the increase in Ukraine’s capabilities next year will be accompanied by difficulties, which Russia will allegedly face. In particular, Moscow will experience a shortage of weapons and personnel, as well as economic difficulties due to labor shortages, Galeotti believes.
Understanding all this, Russian President Vladimir Putin will look for options to “impose some kind of peace on his own terms”, notes the British political scientist, forgetting, what situation is Ukraine in now and what it still needs to do until next year?.
