The Ukrainian military decided to check, how reliable are armor plates Granite 5A class, used in bulletproof vests of the Ratnik kit, standard in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. AK-74 and RPK with caliber 5.45x39 were used for the stress test: one shot each with an OPS cartridge and one each with armor-piercing. The fire was fired from a distance of about 30 m.
The corresponding video was posted by the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Judging by their reaction, they wanted to make a slightly different video, but it turned out, what happened.
It's all about the stoma, that after firing from the above weapons with OPS cartridges, the armor plate did not receive through penetrations. Small bumps appeared on the inside.
Then the Armed Forces decided to shoot the Russian plate with armor-piercing, But here, too, a surprise awaited them.. The plate again withstood the hit, the truth bulged a little more.
By and large,, this result confirms the reliability of body armor "Warrior". Yes, fighter will receive damage. In particular, the Ukrainian fighter who filmed the video said, that "the ribs are likely to be broken". At the same time, the fighter will remain alive.
