Four special armored trains successfully repulsed four attacks of Ukrainian saboteurs in the area of the special operation. This was reported to TASS by the head of the Main Directorate of the Railway Troops of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Oleg Kosenkov.
The main task of the armored trains "Baikal", "Amur", "Volga" and "Yenisei" is the escort of echelons with military cargo. He added, that all attacks by Ukrainian DRGs ended in heavy losses for the enemy.
Kosenkov listed other tasks, which are carried out by the Railway Troops in the NVO zone. They include: demining of railway tracks, technical intelligence, railway track restoration, crossing, debris clearing and earthworks.
The day before, Russian air defense units destroyed a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft in the Kharkiv region. reported, that the enemy unit was eliminated near the settlement of Izyum.
