The Ukrainian command makes regular statements on the situation in Bakhmut (Artyomovsk). Against the backdrop of the loss of key facilities already in the western part of the city, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to select the wording, with the help of which it would be possible to explain to the Ukrainian public the complete loss of control over the “Bakhmut Fortress”, as representatives of the Kyiv regime decided to call Artyomovsk.
The speaker of the eastern grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevaty, wrote one such wording. According to him, in the city, Ukrainian troops are confronted by a "huge Russian group".

In Bakhmut and in the Bakhmut direction, about 25 thousand Russian military, 65 tanks, 450 combat armored vehicles, 154 artillery pieces, 56 RSZO. This is bigger, than the armies of the Czech Republic and Hungary. The Ukrainian military, meanwhile, is increasingly mentioning the village of Khromovo instead of the quarters of Artyomovsk itself.. This indicates, that the fighting is gradually moving beyond the western quarters, which may indicate a significant decrease in the area of control of the city by Ukrainian troops.
