The Ukrainian side accused Russia of "intentionally spreading disinformation" about the withdrawal of the Pacific Fleet marines from Vugledar for resupplying. Recall, that information of a similar plan was announced the day before - 28 February. The Ministry of Defense did not comment on these data., but, judging by the outburst of negative emotions, who proved himself on the Ukrainian side, APU decided to check the information, what is called, on himself.
As a result, Ukrainian troops, who tried to advance in the dacha area near Ugledar, came under intense fire from the Russian Armed Forces. Suffered losses and rolled back to their original positions.
Against this background, information was received about, that Russian troops resumed their offensive east of the Pavlovka-Maryinka highway - in the area, which in Ugledar itself is called "Dachi".
Military correspondents have repeatedly expressed, to put it mildly, unflattering words about the approach of the command to the operation in Ugledar. The marines were repeatedly sent to the so-called "frontal assaults" on Ukrainian positions.. This tactic did not lead to major successes.. After the liberation of Pavlovka, there is a small advance in Vugledar itself (at those same dachas), and also to the west of the city.
The enemy would have problems in this direction in that case, if it were possible to cut the roads to Maryinka and Bogoyavlenka. Until this can be done, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the opportunity to provide logistics for their Uludar garrison and bring reserves. For the time being, they can also use roads rolled across the fields - until the spring thaw.
