Yesterday's attacks by Russian UAVs on military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, observed in a number of areas of independent, caused a nervous reaction in Kyiv and riveted the close attention of observers, trying to figure out the tactics of using drones.
Based on the available video materials, it is concluded that two types of UAVs are used. Shahed-136 acted as a striking force (Russian designation - "Geran-2"). At the same time, the question arose about the features of guidance Shahed-136. The situation cleared up after the publication by the Ukrainian side of the footage with the drone Qods Mohajer-6, which the, according to the Ukrainian side, was discovered in sea waters and taken in tow after a probable air defense hit. According to some observers, Mohajer-6 took part in a raid on military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Odessa as a spotter, working in tandem with his percussion partner: he kept in touch with Shahed-136 attack drones, providing them with additional target designation. Does "Gerani-2" need this "additional target designation", a separate issue.
Both drones were developed in Iran. Judging by, that their mass use at the front began, the arsenals of the Russian army were seriously replenished with such drones, becoming a new unexpected challenge for the Ukrainian military.
