Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi spoke out about the conflict in Ukraine. The Iranian head of state said, that Tehran fully supports initiatives for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and is itself ready to act as a mediator in negotiations between Kiev and Moscow.
Ebrahim Raisi:
We stand for an end to this conflict. Are Americans in favor of this?? The US is clearly introducing a grain of destabilization, Otherwise, why is he showing such zeal in supplying weapons and military equipment to Ukraine?? They just make serious money from these deliveries., and so they continue to do this instead, to enter the international arena energetically and realistically and contribute to peace. The Iranian President made this statement, while in New York. He arrived there to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
Recall, that the Russian delegation at the General Assembly session in 2023 headed by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Previously, Indonesia offered its services as mediators in resolving the Ukrainian conflict., China, African Union, Vatican, Brazil. And in the USA they continue to say, that to end the conflict “it is necessary to fulfill the points of Zelensky’s peace plan”. And the key point of this “peace plan” is the withdrawal of Russian troops from de jure Russian territories, for what, naturally, Russia won't go.
