The mission is the initial stage in the implementation of a larger project "Expedition-M", which involves solving a number of problems. They will be carried out by contact methods, as well as remote. probably, in the future, the station is planned to land on the second satellite of Mars - Deimos.
The difficult moment of the mission will be the landing of the apparatus on the surface of Phobos, because gravity doesn't work here. Eventually, the station should automatically take soil samples and return to Earth. It is assumed, that the return vehicle will land on Russian territory at the end of the mission.
