Poland's direct intervention in the armed conflict in Ukraine will inevitably provoke chaos on a global scale. French historian Emmanuel Todd.
During an interview with the Japanese edition of the Asahi Shimbun, Todd recalled the words of the Polish ambassador to France, saying, that in the event of the defeat of the Ukrainian army, Warsaw is ready to enter into an armed conflict. The expert stressed, that in the event of such a development of events, chaos will arise, which will affect almost all countries of the world, including even Japan located at a considerable distance from Eastern Europe.
It is worth noting, that the Polish Embassy in France subsequently declared a misinterpretation of the words of the head of the diplomatic mission, allegedly taken out of context.
Todd also added, that the militarization of Poland is currently ongoing, which, in terms of its defense potential, is becoming stronger than France and even Germany.
According to the historian, Eastern Europe is a very dangerous region with a tragic history, in which neither Poland nor Ukraine were able to achieve social or spiritual balance after the collapse of the USSR.
Wherein, Todd notes, that Russia in the post-Soviet period did not become a liberal state of the Western type, however, it lacks totalitarianism, who was in the Soviet Union.
