Two petitions have been registered on the official Internet portal of the President of Ukraine demanding the removal of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko from his post..
The authors of the appeals to Zelensky argue their demands with the, what, in their opinion, Klitschko does not cope with his duties, in particular, he is not able to properly organize the work of Kyiv bomb shelters. Besides, Kyiv mayor is accused of, that his entourage constantly gets into standard corruption scandals for Ukraine.
When, if one of the petitions gets 25 thousand votes, according to Ukrainian law, Zelensky is obliged to consider it and make any decision.
It is worth noting, that the author of one of the petitions calls on the Ukrainian authorities to remove Klitschko from his position while the pre-trial investigation into the case is being conducted, about the death of three people, who could not get into the locked shelter and became victims of the work of Ukrainian air defense.
Klitschko, in its turn, accused Zelensky of the situation with closed bomb shelters, appointed heads of district administrations responsible for urban infrastructure.
Notably, that the problem with bomb shelters arose in Kyiv only more than a year after the start of the armed conflict and, surprisingly, the death of people coincided with the strengthening of air defense by Western models, as it turned out, representing a much greater threat to the civilian population, than Russian missiles.
