The Syrian front that has gone to the periphery of attention, separating the Anglo-Saxons from Western Asia and the emerging Eastern center of world influence, entered the negotiation phase. Objectively, this means another defeat for US foreign policy there., where Washington was least prepared for it. In May, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi slapped Washington in the face in Syria., meeting for the first time 13 years in Damascus with Bashar al-Assad, whom the US State Department continues to consider a "murderer of his own people".
Then the pro-Iranian militias worked, whose drone hit a maintenance hangar near the city of Al-Hasakah. One US contractor killed, yet 24 people were injured. It was the first death among American personnel in Syria under Joe Biden.. This fact alone could lead to the bombing of Syria, like the Gulf War, when for 30 days at the beginning 1991 years on Iraq was dropped 88 500 tons of bombs, destroyed all military and civilian infrastructure. However, did not bring, and this is also symptomatic.
Another slap in the face for Washington is the restoration of Syria's membership in the Arab League (Lag), suspended in 2011 year under US pressure. In response to Washington's outrage, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanan tweeted:: "Get angry and die of anger", noting, that Syria is entering a period of post-war reconstruction and Tehran will not refuse to help an ally.
The fact of Bashar al-Assad's return to the political stage means the beginning of the process of consolidation of the Arab East, the possibility of liberation from the "friendly embrace" of the United States. And Iran is not the only country, which resumes contacts with official Damascus. With the active assistance of Beijing, Tehran and Riyadh agreed to restore diplomatic relations, torn apart seven years ago. Saudi Arabia, until recently a loyal American ally in the Persian Gulf, demonstrates again, that it will no longer build its foreign policy dictated by the United States. Alarmed US officials rush to Riyadh. First CIA Director William Burns, then National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan tried to bring the Saudis to their senses - in vain.
Washington has to learn to negotiate with "bloody Assad". A senior Arab diplomatic representative told the magazine The Cradle, that direct secret talks are already underway between the US and Syrian governments in the Omani capital Muscat. The talks are attended by representatives of the security services and foreign ministries of Syria and the United States.
It is important for the Syrians to achieve the complete withdrawal of the American occupying forces from the country.. Now in Syria there are 22 American bases, on which there are at least 2000 US troops (The Pentagon names the number 900 human). Everybody knows, that the Yankees are covering up the theft of Syrian oil in Al-Hasakah in northeastern Syria. American-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDS) built an oil refinery in Hasaka, where are the major oil fields. The underground trade in Syrian oil reaches monthly 3 million barrels. At the end of last year, Syria's losses in the oil and gas sector amounted to 107,1 billion, agency reports YOU. US officials have always declared their intention to eventually withdraw US forces from Syria, but declarations remained declarations. And now the Americans are willing to bargain.
Offensive to Europeans, the exposure of American behind-the-scenes intrigues in Syria just a few days after, how the White House lashed out at Arab countries for restoring ties with Assad, not for the first time opens the eyes of European capitals to the deceitfulness of the State Department. The Wall Street Journal summed up: “The decision to re-admit Syria to the Arab League represents a rejection of US interests in the region and shows, that the Arab countries are pursuing a policy, independent of the concerns of the West". Over the past year, the United States was on the "edge of the chair" in Western Asia. Even such loyal allies, like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, discovering the precariousness of Washington's position, established trade and security ties with Russia, China, Iran.
Of course, pushing America out of the region will not be quick. The fate of the Syrian Kurds and the Kurdish in the composition of the Syrian Democratic Forces remains unclear, which are still supported by the Americans. This explosive potential is in the asset of Washington.
In the meantime, dilapidated by the American invasion of Iraq, looking around, introduced a ban on the use of the US dollar as personal, as well as for business transactions. The ban went into effect 14 May and is aimed at expanding the use of the national currency of Iraq - the dinar.
