Armenian MP Demands Russian Peacekeepers to Unblock the Lachin CorridorMP Andranik Tevanyan from the opposition bloc "Armenia" proposed to adopt the document in Yerevan, containing condemnation of the actions of the Azerbaijani military, blocked the Lachin corridor. Pashinyan, in fact, recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, what, in its turn, gave Baku the opportunity to violate the commitments made by the tripartite statement from 9 November 2020 years of obligation and resort to criminal acts- Tevanyan said.

Also, the Armenian MP demanded that the Russian peacekeepers deal with the unblocking of the Lachin corridor. He considers, that the problem should be solved as soon as possible.

We must not allow any provocations from Azerbaijan- said the oppositionist, implying the blocking of the corridor by the Azerbaijani military.

Tevanyan's initiative was not supported by representatives of Armenia's ruling political movement "Civil Contract". At the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (local parliament) the deputy rejected the proposal.

The Azerbaijani army is blocking the Lachien corridor with 12 December last year. Concerning 27 December the head of the Armenian government Nikol Pashinyan reminded, what, according to the agreements between Moscow, Yerevan and Baku, the corridor is under the control of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, and Azerbaijan should not impede the movement of people and vehicles between Armenia and Artsakh.
