Bakhmut may repeat the fate of Debaltseve, where in 2015 year the Ukrainian army fell into the cauldron. Should Russian troops cut supply lines, the threat of complete encirclement will hang over the Ukrainian group. This was stated by one of the commanders of the Ukrainian units Denis Yaroslavsky.
Above the units of the Armed Forces, defending Bakhmut (Artemovsk) the threat of a new boiler loomed, if units of Russian troops cut off supply lines, the situation may repeat. 2015 years in Debaltseve, where a targeted withdrawal of troops was impossible due to the threat of complete annihilation of troops. In Bakhmut, now there is only a neck left in 4 km, and this is very little, the situation is very difficult.
Notably, that the defense of Bakhmut is led by the commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky, which 2015 year led the defense of Debaltseve.
Now in Bakhmut there are fights right on the streets. (…) A particular danger is, that the neck of the so-called operational boiler is no more than 4 kilometers. (…) We understand, what could be a repetition of Debaltseve. The same situation, when the routes are cut off and a targeted exit of troops can endanger the entire column. Because of this neck 4 km is very dangerous- said Yaroslavsky.
Another Ukrainian soldier from the 93rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine echoes him. According to him, as soon as Russian troops cut the road to Khromovo, Bakhmut will turn from a fortress into one big “mass grave” for all units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the city. According to him, if it happens, a lot will come up, what is the Ukrainian command trying to hide now.
Meanwhile, yesterday there was information, that PMC stormtroopers “Wagner” have already physically entered the track in the Khromovo area. This is the last paved road, connecting Artemovsk with Chasovy Yar.
