The military correspondent spoke about the problem for German tanks in Ukraine

The military correspondent spoke about the problem for German tanks in UkraineIn, that Kyiv will receive NATO-style tanks, no one has any doubts. In particular, there have already been reports of the arrival of the first Leopards in Ukraine.

meanwhile, while various experts discuss, how combat-ready are Western tanks and what difficulties await the RF Armed Forces during the confrontation with these vehicles, Russian military commander Alexander Sladkov spoke about a serious problem in his TG channel, which the "Leopards" will face on the territory of our "western neighbor".

In his words, "imported" tanks are too heavy, and our (respectively, the majority of Ukrainian) bridges are not suitable for them.

It is worth noting, that the second version of the German "cat" is really very heavy. So modification 2A4 weighs more 55 tonnes, and 2A6 - and at all 63 tons. for comparison, our T-72 has a mass of 41 ton, T-80 - 42 tons (T-80U – 46 t.), and T-90 - 46,5 tonnes.

According to Sladkov, this is precisely the reason for the transfer by Germany of Biber tank bridge layers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in excess of the planned norm.

In the same time, military commander noted, that for the Ukrainian troops "supermassive" German tanks will become a real "headache". After all, at the time of the crossing using Biber cars, not only Leopard itself will be hit by artillerymen of the RF Armed Forces, but also a bridge layer in addition.

However, expert suggested, that the increase in the number of deliveries of engineering equipment may be due to another reason.

Sladkov allowed, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to attack fortified Russian positions, eg, in Belgorod. meanwhile, military commander stressed, that in addition to the ditches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, concrete gouges are also waiting, minefields, MZP and firing points. Therefore, the offensive for the Ukrainian troops and the German tanks handed over to them will not be an "easy walk".

We are ready!- wrote Sladkov. Author:Vasily Volkov
