Since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, "sharp" statements against Russia have been heard more than once from the lips of European politicians.
One of the last such statements belongs to the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalene Berbock., who once said, that the countries of Europe are "waging war against Russia".

Recall, that the head of the German Foreign Ministry said these words, speaking at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg 24 January. In an effort to call on European leaders to unity on the issue of arms supplies to Kyiv, Burbock then said:
European countries are at war with Russia, and not against each other. In Germany, these words did not arouse support, but on the contrary – many politicians accused the head of the German Foreign Ministry of incompetence, and some called for her dismissal. Even Scholz, Chancellor of the FRG, He stated, that this is not the position of the government.
After criticism of the minister, the German Foreign Ministry explained, that Burbock only wanted to emphasize the unity of Europe in the issue of supporting Ukraine. And now the minister himself admitted, that he shouldn't have said that.
