The Russian army in the future may receive equipment, making the fighter invisible to thermal imagers and allowing them to blend in with the terrain. The development of chameleon equipment is already underway, said the CEO of CJSC “Cuirass” Vladimir Kormushin.
“Cuirass” is developing new equipment, made possible by the use of new materials, having the necessary properties. As Kormushin explained, the task is to disguise the fighter not with the help of various electronic or other devices, and through the use of materials, able to change their color due to special dyes. Ideally this would be a set., able to adapt to the environment, time of day, etc., that is actually a chameleon.
We strive to provide fighters with such a disguise, which could make him literally invisible to the enemy. Today we are tasked with sheltering military personnel in various wavelength ranges, including in thermal imaging.
