Russian special operation has become a serious test for Western weapons, which the United States and its allies are massively supplying to Kyiv.
The thing is, that for many samples of the aforementioned weapons, the conflict in Ukraine has become a kind of "anti-advertising", as dispelled the myth of his invulnerability, and in some cases efficiency.
In particular, today on the net you can find a lot of evidence of the destruction of the famous American 155-mm howitzers M777 by Russian means of destruction. At the same time, as it turned out, this weapon is vulnerable not only to missiles and kamikaze UAVs.
The Russian military commander Alexander Sladkov spoke about the weak point of the M777 in his TG channel, referring to data, received from the combat commander of one of the artillery battalions of the RF Armed Forces in the NVO zone.
As Sladkov's interlocutor explained, the M777 howitzer is extremely poorly protected and at the same time “sensitive” to the impact. In this connection, even fragments from a mine that exploded nearby can disable it., not to mention a direct hit.
According to the military, whose story is given by the Russian military commander, the main calculation by American designers was made on the range of the howitzer. Allegedly, it was supposed to be inaccessible to enemy return fire..
