The federal budget of the Russian Federation for the period of January 2023 year may not receive 54,5 billion rubles of proceeds from oil and gas revenues. This is reported by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation on its Internet portal.
Total amount of funds, which are supposed to be used for the sale of foreign currency, is 54,5 billion rubles. The operation period will start 13 January and end 6 February this year, respectively, the daily volume of sales of foreign currency will be 3,2 billion in ruble equivalent.
The Ministry of Finance also says, that due to the risks of a decrease in the actual volumes of natural gas exports in comparison with the previously predicted values, budget revenues from payments of export duties on gas may turn out to be less, however, this will be taken into account when making adjustments based on subsequent months..
The Ministry of Finance expected to receive in December last year an amount of 176,1 billion rubles as additional income from oil and gas transactions. Projected amount of shortfalls, which will go to the federal budget in January of this year will amount to 54,5 billion rubles.
