The Russian Navy is considering the option of building a new series of auxiliary vessels for various purposes to ensure the operation of the fleet, including universal sea transports of the new project. The developers showed a design image of the project 23120C, proposed for the construction of a universal sea transport in the interests of the Russian fleet. The new project is a further development of the project 23120, according to which at the shipbuilding enterprise “Severnaya Verf” two naval logistics vessels were built: “Elbrus” for the Northern Fleet and “Vsevolod Bobrov” for the Black Sea. It was reported about the bookmark of the third, but its construction was suspended and is currently unknown, at what stage is it and is it being conducted at all.
