The offensive of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye direction is developing. As a result of a successful counterattack on enemy positions east of the city of Zaporozhye, the Russian military managed to drive him out of these positions.
On the eve of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that, that the settlement of Dorozhnyanka, Pologovsky district, was liberated by the Armed Forces of the country. This village, which is located approximately 6 km south of the city of Gulyaipole.
Developing the offensive, Russian troops managed to gain a foothold north of Dorozhnyanka, pushing the front line in the Zaporozhye region to the north by at least 4-5 km. A total of about 30 sq. km of territory in the area of the mentioned Gulyai-Pole.
In the battles on the southern approaches to the city of Gulyaipole, the enemy suffered significant losses. The number of "two hundredths" in the past day alone amounted to 50 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the so-called territorial defense. They also lost five AFVs (combat armored vehicles).
The advance to the southern outskirts of Gulyaipol allowed our fighters to disrupt the enemy’s plans to strike and advance to the settlement of Pologi. Having suffered losses, the enemy was forced to retreat north, leaving previously prepared positions on the territory of one of the fortified areas.
