Today, the vessel MV Greenwich with the first batch of fertilizers from the Russian Federation for Africa moored in the Mozambican port of Beira, destined for Malawi.
The cargo ship Greenwich has already arrived and stood in the roadstead - follows from the message of the port traffic control service.
As stated by the organization, on board are 20 thousand tons of fertilizers, received from the Russian company Uralchem-Uralkali. He managed to reach his destination on schedule.
At the same time, the Russian Embassy in Mozambique told the TASS news agency that, that the vessel will be temporarily anchored, waiting for their unloading not earlier 1 February next year. This period is set in accordance with the technical schedule of the port of Beira.
note, that the ship MV Greenwich, owned by a Greek company came out of Holland, headed for the shores of Mozambique under the British flag. After unloading the first batch of fertilizers, they will be delivered by rail to Malawi, a small country in eastern Africa, landlocked.
Meanwhile, the Malawian authorities are preparing a solemn meeting on the occasion of the arrival of the first batch of fertilizers from Russia as part of a humanitarian program.
Recall, that the Russian company Uralchem-Uralkali last month agreed on the export of humanitarian consignments of fertilizers to the African continent, which were blocked in warehouses in Belgium, Holland and Estonia. The vessel with the first batch was chartered by the World Food Program under the auspices of the UN.
