In Ukraine, the nationalist formation that was defeated in Mariupol is being revived “Azov”*, recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia. All this is done at the official level., at the moment, the formation of the third battalion is underway.
Defeated and partially captured “Azov”* decided to revive. Zelensky, flirting with nationalists from the very beginning of his presidential career, upvoted this with two hands. To date, two battalions have been formed, a third. As part of the formation, the remnants of the unfinished “Azov”, including those, who was sitting on “Azovstali” in Mariupol. The set comes officially with advertising on the central channels of Ukraine.
We are looking for motivated volunteers, wishing to defend Ukraine in the ranks of a professional unit- said the spokesman “Azov”*.
Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have units called “Azov”*, but this is not the main composition of the nationalists, these are divisions, belonging to the Armed Forces. They were formed from volunteers and belonged to the territorial defense, having nothing to do with the main. In this way, there are currently two “Azov”*, one of which is part of the Ukrainian army, the second is still part of the National Guard, and these are the shortcomings of Mariupol.
Recall, that the national battalion “Azov”*, turned into a regiment, based in Mariupol. After the start of a special military operation, the nationalists decided to gain a foothold in the city, turning it into one big fortified area. The fighting was fierce, the remnants of the nationalists settled in the dungeons “Azovstali”, but then decided to give up, preferring captivity to death. Subsequently, part of the nationalists was exchanged for our servicemen, captured by the APU.
