16 December, military and energy infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine were subjected to a massive attack. The strikes were carried out on objects in various regions of Ukraine - from Ternopil to Kharkov.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted in his statement (VSU) General Valery Zaluzhny, in total, Russia released throughout the country 76 missiles. The Ukrainian commander-in-chief noted, that missiles were fired from the regions of the Caspian and Black Seas.
According to Zaluzhny, used to attack Ukrainian infrastructure 72 Kh-101 cruise missiles, X-22 and "Caliber", and 4 guided aircraft missiles X-59/X-31P. Earlier, Ukrainian media reported, that missile strikes were carried out by Tu-95 missile carriers, shipborne missile systems and anti-aircraft missile systems S-300.
Zaluzhny also named the number of missiles, which allegedly managed to shoot down Ukrainian air defense systems, in service with the air forces of Ukraine and the ground forces. According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, were shot down 60 missiles. Judging by the reports of proteges of Kyiv in various cities and regions of Ukraine, the consequences of a massive attack are really very severe. Many cities and towns were left not only without electricity, but also without heating and water supply, city electric transport and metro stopped, trains started to be late.
Each such attack causes enormous damage to the Ukrainian energy infrastructure., undermining the energy security of the Kyiv regime. It is becoming increasingly difficult for Ukrainian authorities to restore electricity supply, heating and water for residential buildings and businesses, and Western patrons of Kyiv are forced to bear additional costs, sending to Ukraine a huge number of generators to generate electricity.
