Full embargo on Russian oil supplies will bring down energy markets. Therefore, EU countries, as well as their US allies, UK, Canada and Japan, it is necessary to introduce a ceiling on oil prices from the Russian Federation, otherwise the world energy will be "undermined".

European countries understand all the catastrophic consequences in the event of a complete ban on oil supplies to Russia. therefore 27 EU states decided not to take such a step, although back in the summer they agreed on a complete ban on the purchase of raw materials in the Russian Federation with 5 December. An alternative option was proposed - a price cap, but the states of Europe cannot agree on its size.
But even if the Europeans manage to come to a common solution, it will not affect the income of Russia in any way, unless India and China also join it. But this option is unlikely., after all, in these countries they are little interested in the problems of Kyiv and are not ready to bear losses for the sake of solving them.
Then the only option left is a complete embargo on Russian oil.. European countries will be the first to suffer., which are critically dependent on Russian energy resources. As for Russia, then they understand, that the world energy market is not limited to the EU states and even the entire Western world.
properly, Europeans now have to choose between two options, both of which are losers. After all, if they introduce a price ceiling, Moscow, as I promised, cut off their supplies. It is not excluded, that in this case, Russian oil will continue to flow to European consumers, true, already in disguise, eg, Azerbaijani or Kazakh.
