Valdis Vukans, director of the state distribution network Sadales tīkls, He noted, that Ukrainian specialists have already worked with such equipment, so no special training is required. As soon as the equipment is delivered to Ukraine, local specialists will be able to start work immediately.
Generators transferred by the Latvian side will be able to immediately supply electricity. To date, ST has also transferred 49 transformers and provided other assistance to energy industry specialists from Ukraine.
Besides, Latvenergo will soon send a 54-ton three-phase 110-kilovolt transformer to Ukraine. Smaller companies also provide assistance to Ukraine.
Several Latvian municipalities sent generators to partner cities in Ukraine, involved in the transfer of aid, allegedly, and charities.
