According to physical and psychological laws, it is more convenient to ride at a constant speed.. Alas, this is not always possible - and not always for serious reasons.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reported, which develops recommendations for regional authorities, establishing maximum permissible speeds on specific sections of local roads. The goal is to get rid of “torn” speed limit, when speed limit signs are put up for no apparent reason and so often, that the driver is forced to constantly monitor them on the side of the road or through the navigator, turning away from the road.
Experts openly assure: unexpected restrictions for drivers are placed mostly in unreasonable places like transitions and sharp turns, and in front of speed cameras, to replenish the local budget with a generous crop of fines. But it's not only bad, that the authorities in this way get into our pockets, and also that, that much more fuel and tire life are spent on braking and subsequent accelerations, than to calmly maintain a steady speed.
Adopted in 2019 year, the state standard prescribes before sharp turns, repair areas and other places, where speed reduction is needed, put signs in increments of not more than twenty kilometers per hour at a distance of not less than fifty meters between them.

I assure you in plain text: this requirement, like most standards, are not always observed, but for its violation, you can at least ask seriously. The Ministry of Transport promises to make new recommendations for approval by the regional authorities no later than six months later. Then they will be posted on the departmental website for general discussion.. I hope, the final version will be in a year. Plaintext ask: Will all regions and municipalities heed the good wishes?
