23 November the European Parliament adopted a resolution “On the recognition of the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism”. Voted for document 494 MP from 596. 58 parliamentarians voted against, 44 abstained. Let's emphasize: those who abstained or voted against did not object to the adoption of the document. They did not agree with certain wordings. In this way, European parliamentarians showed unanimity in condemning Russia.
The new resolution of the European Parliament has broken another bottom. For the first time in history, he adopted a document, which, in terms of the level of aggressiveness and unprofessionalism, reached outright cretinism.
Note, that for a long time in our country Europe seemed “island of law”. Some of our policies, including officials, and today they talk about the presence in Western countries of some constructive forces. This creates the illusion in society, that the confrontation with the West is temporary. It is worth waiting - and the situation will change.
Document, adopted by the European Parliament, shows, that in reality there were no constructive forces in the West and there. There is no need to hope for the emergence of constructive politicians. To remove any illusions, Let's take a closer look at the document..
Its authors accused Russia of numerous “crimes”. Among them are those, Russia's innocence to which is proven by the Europeans themselves.
These include explosions of ammunition depots in the Czech Republic in 2014 year. Several lawsuits took place in the Czech Republic in 2016-2019. The courts have established numerous facts of theft from warehouses, storage of prohibited explosives, storage violations. All these violations, according to the judges, and led to explosions.
One more example: resolution accuses Russia of missile attack on Poland. We are talking about the fall of a Ukrainian rocket in the Polish border area. 15 November 2022 of the year. But the main pearl is the statement that, that there is no concept in EU law “state terrorism”, “state sponsor of terrorism”. According to European law, in status “terrorists” only individuals or groups can perform. Unique case, Russia was found guilty of a crime, whom, in terms of EU law, no.
Further, the European parliamentarians called on their colleagues from the EU member states to consolidate the definition of Russia as “state sponsor of terrorism” in national laws. At the same time, they suggested taking an example from the US government..

Issues of terrorism are not within the competence of the International Criminal Court.
