Second serial frigate “Admiral Golovko” project 22350, built on the “Northern shipyard”, preparing for factory sea trials. According to the general director of the shipyard Igor Orlov, the ship plans to leave the outfitting wall in the coming days.

Frigate “Admiral Golovko” is the second serial after the head “Admiral Gorshkov” and the first production “Admiral Kasatonova”, and just like they will go to serve in Severomorsk, where it will become part of the 43rd division of missile ships of the Northern Fleet. The necessary infrastructure for basing is being prepared for the frigate in Severomorsk. According to available information, exactly “Admiral Golovko” is the first regular carrier of hypersonic missiles “zircon”.
The ship laid 1 February 2012 of the year, launched 22 May 2020 of the year. It is the first frigate of this project with a completely Russian power plant. Russian-made diesel engines are installed on the lead and first serial frigates, but gas turbine units are used as afterburners (GTU) production of Ukrainian enterprise “Dawn-Mashproekt”. On “Admiral Golovko” a domestic analogue of the Ukrainian GTU was installed. According to public information, the main power plant of the frigates of the project 22350 is a GTDA with a total capacity 65 thousand. l. from. and diesel generators with a total capacity 4 MW.
The frigate is named after Arseny Grigoryevich Golovko (1906 — 1962), seaman – surface guard, commander of the Northern Fleet during the Great Patriotic War.
