Our troops have stepped up the use of shock drones «cube» on enemy positions on different sectors of the frontIn the past few days, the use of strike drones by the RF Armed Forces against enemy positions has significantly intensified on almost the entire front of the special military operation. (SVO). If, quite recently, the main messages about the use of such weapons concerned the energy infrastructure of the enemy, where Geranium-2 showed itself, now it is the enemy forces on the fronts and in the front-line zones that are increasingly being attacked by loitering ammunition.

In this case, we are talking about the use of other UAVs. These are loitering ammunition "Cube" ("Cube-BLAH"), which are much smaller than "Geranium-2". Relatively small dimensions (maximum linear dimension - approx. 1,2 m) makes it possible to launch these drones from almost any platform.

One of the options for effective use is carried out from the defense lines of our troops. The operator takes the drone to the target using cameras and sensors, after which the ammunition with a warhead about 3 kg dives for this target. It could be an enemy dugout, individual units of armored vehicles or their accumulation, also the accumulation of manpower - for example, in a forest plantation, including dispersed along the trench (trench).

The strikes are usually delivered in pairs or triples of such loitering ammunition with short time intervals - about 10 minutes. This tactic is effective in case of detection of relatively large (by the standards of a separate direction) enemy forces: eg, several armored vehicles and several infantry platoons, who, after losses from the first strike, try to hide. The second and third drones cover the remaining militants.

The use of Kub drones is also effective in terms of practically unhindered passage through the army air defense system, if the enemy has one in one or another section of the line of contact. "Cubes", in addition to direct strikes, allow individual enemy air defense systems to detect (as a consequence, that they are trying to bring them down), so that either artillery will eventually work on them, or other unmanned "brothers" from the arsenal of the RF Armed Forces.
