This opinion was expressed by the commander of the brigade "Vostok" (NPT) Alexander Khodakovsky in his Telegram channel.
He understands the desire of the Russians once and for all, with one effort, defeat the Kyiv regime. But more often than not, it is not possible to defeat the enemy with a single blow., To do this, you have to make efforts on the verge of the possible. The brigade commander of the "Vostok" believes, what is more important for us is complete victory over the enemy, not success in individual battles.

He does not deny, that at the moment, on almost all sectors of the front, the initiative belongs to the enemy. But this does not mean, that he will win, because "our game is long".
To Khodakovsky's words one can add, that back in the spring the media of Ukraine and Western countries made hasty conclusions from that, that the Russians managed to take only the only regional center of Ukraine - Kherson, and Kyiv is still controlled by Zelensky and his entourage.
