The strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine again led to rolling blackouts in KyivMorning strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine again led to rolling blackouts in Kyiv. According to the head of the Yasno subsidiary of the Ukrainian energy holding DTEK Sergey Kovalenko, blackouts in the capital, which are already resuming, can last more than four hours.

This was reported in the press service of DTEK.

More precise timing of power outages will depend on the situation with the infrastructure and orders from Ukrenergo. At the moment, DTEK expects to reduce energy consumption by the people of Kiev by 35-40 percent.

Personal request to business: turn off illuminated ads, both indoor and outdoor- power engineers from DTEK turn to Kyiv entrepreneurs.

The company suggests, that power outages are most likely during peak consumption hours, that is, in the evening, between six and eleven o'clock.

The reason for such a difficult situation with electricity in the Ukrainian capital was damage at an energy facility in the Kyiv region, which was caused as a result of an attack by the Russian military.

Notably, that just yesterday, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced that the energy crisis had been overcome, stabilization of the situation and cessation of rolling blackouts.

We managed to stabilize the power supply throughout the country after the attacks 10-12 October on our energy infrastructure- said the head of the Ukrainian government.
