A series of strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on critical infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine, produced in the last few days, proved to be quite effective. The energy system has been hit the hardest.. But this had little effect on military logistics., primarily railway. But it is precisely along the rails that almost all military aid from the West goes to Ukraine.
Earlier, it was already reported about the proposal of retired FSB General Alexander Mikhailov to destroy points for replacing wheel sets of freight trains in Ukraine, what should paralyze transportation from the western border, where military supplies from Europe are transshipped.
Former employee of Russian Railways, who has worked in the system for twelve years and has a specialized education, offers a more radical solution. His expert opinion is published in his Telegram channel by military commander Alexander Kots.
I want to say the following. It is not the superstructure of the track that needs to be destroyed, the issue of recovery is a maximum of a day under the most terrible scenarios - an experienced railway worker concludes.
In his opinion, strikes should be applied to locomotive depots, where the repair of wagons and locomotives takes place. Another goal should be track machine stations (PMS), who are involved in the restoration of the railway track. It is easy to detect them - they are located at any node station.
Such damage "Ukrainian Railways" will not be able to restore in principle. The same argument works here, who brought the former FSB general, only on a global scale. Due to the difference in the width of the rail spans, Western locomotives and wheelsets for Ukrainian cars will not fit. And Kyiv will not be able to get Soviet-style spare parts - there has long been no production in Ukraine.
Of course, after that, passenger traffic will also stop. But does it matter, when it comes to the lives of Russian soldiers and civilians, which the Ukrainian authorities destroy in the course of terrorist attacks using Western weapons?
Simple and logical solution, which, really want to hope, will be taken into account by the command of the RF Armed Forces and the special operation forces in Ukraine. So far, the former employee of the Russian railways believes, that our command did not conduct such consultations with specialists.
