Russia once again showed, what, contrary to the promises and aspirations of the so-called "Western coalition", it is impossible to isolate our country from the whole world. This was confirmed by the ongoing 5 by 8 September in Vladivostok VII Eastern Economic Forum. In total, more than 400 company heads, order 5000 media representatives, prominent economists, politicians and scientists from more than 60 foreign states. Direct and virtual participation in the WEF-2022 was confirmed by diplomatic representatives from 25 nations. The main topic of the forum this year – on the way to a multipolar world.
The first day of the forum has already become very fruitful.. The venues of the EEF-2022 hosted 56 events in the format of panel sessions, TV debate, business breakfasts and presentations. Issues of increasing investment attractiveness and Russia's participation in China's One Belt, One Road initiative were discussed at the business meeting, development of the Northern Sea Route.
The forum is traditionally considered a key platform for attracting investments in the development of the Far Eastern Federal District. This topic was discussed by the participants of the business breakfast, in which the heads of all territories of the Far Eastern Federal District took part.
Three country business dialogues were held as part of the business program: "Russia - Mongolia", "Russia - India", "Russia - ASEAN". Far Eastern regions presented 34 priority projects, implemented in priority development areas and the Free Port of Vladivostok.
On September 5, the II International Tiger Conservation Forum was held at the EEF-2022 site, visited by more than 2000 participants from Russia and 44 foreign states and territories. As a result of the event, the Declaration on the restoration and conservation of the tiger was unanimously adopted..
Following the results of the first day of the WEF, it was signed 94 investment agreements and memorandums of intent totaling 1 trillion 297 billion rubles excluding projects, carrying trade secrets.
The second day of the forum was no less eventful.. In particular, during a teleconference between the Chinese oil and gas company CNPC and PJSC Gazprom, a number of agreements were signed to increase Russian gas supplies to China, as well as a complete transition to payment for raw materials in national currencies - rubles and yuan.
Today at the forum, the delegation of Yakutia signed a number of agreements, one of which is about cooperation in the construction of the Jalinda International Railway Bridge (Russia) - Mohe (China) was concluded with the Amur Region. Besides, one of the key events was the simultaneous launch of four hybrid power plants in the Momsky district from the fields of the VEF. Total, only Yakutia plans to sign more than 40 agreements for the amount 330 billion rubles. No less ambitious plans for other territories of the Far Eastern Federal District.
The most significant event of the Seventh Eastern Economic Forum will take place tomorrow at the plenary session, where Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived in Vladivostok the day before, will speak. According to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, the head of state in his speech will assess the development of our economy at the current stage, but "with an emphasis nevertheless on the most important Far Eastern region for our country".
