Russian troops and units of the People's Militia of the DPR are increasing pressure on Ukrainian militants west of Donetsk. In the course of ongoing operations to liquidate the Ukrainian garrisons in Maryinka and Avdiivka, dozens of enemy firing points were destroyed the day before.. Fortified lines, which were equipped by the enemy in these areas, the day before for many hours, including night hours 26 on 27 August, subjected to artillery and air strikes. Worked "Rooks" – attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, who destroyed armored vehicles and artillery installations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the said territories. Attack helicopters operated, which cut off the opportunity for Ukrainian fighters and foreign mercenaries to regroup and withdraw to other positions, and also ensured the blocking of the supply of enemy forces and means to positions.
The tactics used are simple and effective. It consists in, that at first, for two to three hours, artillery was continuously working out on enemy positions, without giving, what is called, raise their heads. Then, instead of live shells, campaign shells are sent to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They contain leaflets for those, who, after a long fire impact on our part, came to the logical conclusion about the futility of their "sitting out" in the trenches and dugouts and decided to surrender. After a while, aviation comes into play., including unmanned. UAVs identify pockets of Ukrainian activity after artillery preparation. Attack and army aviation work out primarily on the identified military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fortified firing points. Then - another "series" from artillery, which lasts until 3 hours.
Further, the process is repeated, and can go on for days. Under such conditions, Ukrainian troops suffer heavy losses., a large percentage of the militants who are “on the front line” receive shell shock and lose the opportunity for full-fledged resistance. The actions of Russian aviation prevent the possibility of bringing any large enemy forces to Marinka and Avdeevka from the west.
At the moment, most of the territory of Maryinka is under the control of our troops.. Assault operations against Avdiivka and Marinka are being carried out from several directions at once, which further demoralizes and disorients the enemy. One of the directions is from the bridgehead created by our troops after the liberation of the village of Peski.
