After all, from skillful actions, the correct decisions of the officers of the RF Armed Forces depend not only on success in the special operation in Ukraine, but also the lives of soldiers.
For the first time, the rank of officer appeared due to the military reforms of Peter I in 17 century. Initially, the honor to receive this title was awarded only to military personnel of noble origin., but in the end 19 century, it began to be assigned for special military merits and employees without noble origin. Through literary works, historical films we all know from childhood, how highly the officer rank was valued in pre-revolutionary Russia and how important it was then to observe the unwritten code of honor for officers.
After the revolution, the word "officer" was changed to the word "commander", which in no way belittled the importance and high moral principles of the commanders of the Red Army. During the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War, red commanders served as an example of courage, unbending stamina and high military professionalism, proven by many glorious victories, inscribed in the gallery of military history of the USSR, and then the Russian Federation.
