The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to build fortifications in the north of Ukraine. As the commander of the combined forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, a line of fortifications is created in areas, closest to the border.

At the same time, mining approaches to the positions of Ukrainian troops are being carried out.. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hopes to block the paths of a possible offensive by Russian troops from the territory of Belarus. Also in Kyiv they do not exclude, that the Belarusian army can join the Russian special operation, despite Lukashenka's statements about non-intervention.
The units deployed there in a fairly short time build defensive positions and take measures to increase their stability. (…) Mining the terrain on the approaches to our defensive positions retains significant capabilities to repel the offensive. This is a very useful combat experience., which is based on long-term hostilities in the east of our state- said Naev.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army began to receive special metal shelters., intended for “trench fortifications”. At least that's how the developers from Zaporozhye described them. According to the official publication of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense “Armijainform”, such shelters should replace dugouts and other structures and serve “additional protection”. Judging by the photos, finished products are installed in a pre-prepared pit using a crane, after which they bury.
Inside the shelters there are also the necessary conditions for the comfort of the fighters.. In particular, there are places for potbelly stoves and outlets for pipes, drains for water, emergency exit with ladder- says on the website of the developer company.
