In Lugansk, they confirmed the occupation of strategic heights near Artemivsk, covering the city from the onset of the allied forces. As the Assistant Minister of the Interior of the LPR Vitaly Kiselev said, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the heights retreated to the city.
This morning a number of Russian TG channels distributed a video, filmed at strategic heights near the city of Artemovsk. According to the commander of the 20th battalion of the NM LPR with the call sign “Jackson”, for several years there was a very powerful fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to defend which they could for a long time, especially, that the main part of the fortifications on the heights was never defeated by allied artillery. The officer noted, that does not know the reason, on which the APU left the area.
This fortified area stretches for several kilometers., placed him on the dominant, so to speak, strategically important heights. For many years they fortified and kept it here ... Or they didn’t want to, or couldn't keep it. He opened the way for us to Artemovsk – He stated “Jackson”.
Later, the capture of the heights was confirmed in Luhansk, informing, that Ukrainian units went to Artemovsk (Bakhmut). According to Kiselev, they don't know either, why the APU did not want, or failed to defend a strategically important fortified area.
APU abandoned strategic heights, covering Artemovsk, and retreated to the city- wrote Kiselev in the TG channel.
According to the latest data, units of the allied forces have already entered Artemovsk, fighting goes on the eastern outskirts of the city. Basically there are assault groups of the so-called “musicians” from PMC “Wagner”. But talk about, that the city will fall quickly until it is necessary, APU put up strong resistance.
