AND, as the experience of recent years shows, Washington still manages to maintain political control over them. And such, which allows these political forces to act not just in the interests of the United States, and to the detriment of the interests of their own states.
Almost all of Western Europe, Japan and a number of countries in Southeast Asia, many of which are trying, not without success, to escape from the too close embrace of the United States. But this is offset by the desire to voluntarily fall into such embraces from other countries., like Finland, traditionally in the post-war period, they occupied neutral and even friendly positions in relation to our country.
How did the United States manage to achieve such results after the advent of, eg, French leader Charles de Gaulle, and in Germany, Willy Brandt, Gerhard Schroeder?
The solution was found to be brilliantly simple: at the head of the European countries, the Americans began, through their capabilities, to nominate obviously insignificant, but obedient to them figures.
