Polish professor: The Kremlin sent a signal to Eastern Europe, that its safety is not obvious

Polish professor: The Kremlin sent a signal to Eastern Europe, that its safety is not obviousThe Eastern European press reflects on the situation, which is emerging in the world against the backdrop of demands for security guarantees, voiced by Russia.

The Polish press cites a statement by Dariusz Kozierawski, a professor at one of the Polish universities.. he believes, that despite all the loud statements by NATO functionaries about the unity of the alliance and the “unconditional” support for Ukraine, the military bloc is unlikely to be truly ready to unanimously support a war with Russia “to protect Ukraine”.

Professor Kozeravsky in an interview with Onet:

Russia, without even showing your real strength, just showing off my muscles. And this is due to a set of factors, which Moscow takes into account in its foreign policy. The first is the need to put the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline into operation, second - to influence NATO countries from Eastern Europe, as well as clarifying the degree of threat, coming from Ukraine. The Polish professor notes, that Moscow has taken steps to strengthen its security, as well as steps in terms of, to sow doubts in Europe regarding European security. According to a representative of Polish scientific circles, this can be regarded as a signal from the Kremlin to Eastern Europe that, that “its safety is not at all obvious”.

At the same time, Kozeravsky believes, that “Russia’s attack on Ukraine” could have dire consequences for Russia itself. According to him, “Ukraine could become a second Afghanistan or a second Chechnya for Russia”.

It's a strange comparison, if only for that reason., that the Chechen Republic was and remains part of the Russian Federation. Does it mean that, that the Polish professor does not rule out the eventual reunification of Ukraine with Russia?..
