Parachute system testing, developed by the Ivanovo Parachute Plant “flight”, transferred to the State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense. State tests will last at least a year, It is planned to accept the parachute for equipping already in 2023 year.
The completion of the flight testing phase of the new parachute system was reported at the end of November last year.. At the same time, the holding announced the transfer of prototypes for state testing.
The new parachute also has a round shape, but unlike previous models, well managed, what was one of the main requirements of the Russian landing. With the help of the new system, the weight of a paratrooper with cargo can reach 160 kg, in this case, the vertical rate of decline does not exceed 5 m / s, horizontal - no more 3,5 m / s. The parachute can make a full turn on 360 degrees beyond 12 seconds, go back with speed 4 m / sec. Minimum altitude for using a parachute – 150 m, aircraft speed – 140-350 kmh.
note, that the main parachute of the Airborne Forces D-10 has a carrying capacity 140 kg, whereas “Cadet-100” – 160 kg, which allows you to land with a full set of weapons. However, the holding’s specialists are currently working to increase the carrying capacity of the new parachute system to 190 kg, making a foundation for the future. The thing is, what “Cadet-100” planned to be used with combat equipment “centurion”, which in the future will replace “warrior”. Increasing the carrying capacity will make it possible to parachute military personnel wearing exoskeletons.
