Rheinmetall held a presentation of its new short-range anti-aircraft system Skynex. A display with practical shooting of the complex took place during the event, dedicated to air defense and organized by the company itself.
The new Skynex anti-aircraft gun is a 35-mm Oerlikon Mk3 revolver-type anti-aircraft gun, mounted on a truck chassis. The developers position the installation as a universal short-range anti-aircraft complex. The air defense system is capable of fighting like with aircraft, same with missiles. The installed equipment makes it easy to detect small targets in the form of drones and successfully hit them.

35-mm automatic gun Oerlikon Mk3 is capable of using 35x228 mm rounds with different types of projectiles, including with a programmable fuse. rate of – to 1000 rounds per minute, there is a mode “solitary” shooting at a pace up to 200 rounds per minute. Maximum range – 4 km.
