Ukroboronprom announced the revival “ammunition industry” Ukraine, commenting on the launch of the country's first production of grenade launchers in the history of the country. Ammunition, previously developed by the Kyiv company SKB “Vector-B”, will be produced in the city of Shostka at the plant “Pulse”. While we are talking about VOG-17V shots for 30-mm automatic grenade launchers of the AGS-17 type, KBA-117 and KBA-11.
According to the General Director of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Gusev, earlier shots to grenade launchers of caliber 30 mm were purchased abroad, predominantly in Poland. at 2019 Shotkinsky “Pulse” together with the company “Forge on Rybatsky” launched the production of PGOF-40 caliber shots 40 mm for NATO automatic grenade launchers.
Today in Ukraine finally appeared its own production of ammunition for grenade launchers, which has a closed cycle
– said in SKB “Vector-B”, which is the developer of ammunition.
The start of the production of VOGs in Ukraine was called a victory. However, not everything pleases the Ukrainian authorities in this news.. Attention is drawn, that the only factory, which is capable of firing grenade launchers of caliber 30 and 40 mm, located just in 50 km from the Russian border.
