According to him, if the pipeline certification process is politicized, it can last indefinitely.
But in the USA they say, that Russia should not count on an early introduction “Northern Stream 2” into operation, instead, it is necessary to increase gas supplies through the Ukrainian GTS. Such a statement was recently voiced by the representative of the State Department for Energy Security Amos Hochstein.
And the day before this, without a doubt, worthy representative of the State Department made a new statement, concerning Russia and Gazprom. According to Hochstein, in the US are disappointed, that Russia did not increase investments in gas production, to provide Europe with additional volumes of blue fuel. According to the American, Russia can and should supply gas in excess of the contracted volumes.
Hochstein's speech outraged Senator Alexei Pushkov, who called the statement boorish, stressing, that the US prefers to sell its gas to Asia, because they pay more, and they are trying to force Russia to sell gas to Europe on the cheap.
Recall, that earlier Putin instructed Gazprom to take measures to fill gas storage facilities in Germany and Austria with gas, true only after the completion of injection into Russian UGSFs.
