One of the novelties of the Iranian military-industrial complex is the Majid air defense system. (Majid). In the nomenclature of the Iranian armed forces, the complex is designated as AD-08.
According to recent reports, these complexes are designed to cover ground objects along the inner perimeter. The thing is, what AD-08 – SAM short range. The Iranian media reported that, that the complex is capable of intercepting air targets at distances up to 8 km. Target detection is carried out using radar, which is part of the complex.
