The test consisted of shooting at a catch target two by two meters. The distance from it to the grenade launcher complex was 133 m. The transport and launch container with a grenade inside was installed on a tripod from an SPG-9 easel anti-tank grenade launcher. To do this, we used a specially designed bracket. The shooter aimed using mechanical aiming aids.
The shooting was recorded on video, which was analyzed after each shot. During the analysis, the external ballistics of the grenade were checked, jet engine operation, as well as the reaction of the machine and container.
test, allegedly, demonstrated the correctness of all technical solutions, applied by developers. It means, that development work on the product is close to completion.
Multi-purpose grenade launcher system "Sapphire" caliber 60 mm and weight 4 kilogram is a light rocket-propelled grenade launcher with an unguided grenade. It is designed to combat modern main battle tanks, armored and unarmored targets, as well as to defeat enemy personnel, located in bunkers, soot, light shelters and various structures.
