Western countries, including UK, ready to recognize the new government of Afghanistan, created by the Taliban * (the movement is banned in Russia as a terrorist), but only when certain conditions are met. This was stated by the head of the British government Boris Johnson.
According to the British Prime Minister, London is ready for cooperation with the Taliban and political recognition of the Afghan government as well as “other western countries”. For, to make it all happen, and Afghan billions were unfrozen, the Taliban need to fulfill several conditions.
At first, they must guarantee freedom of movement for all, who wants to leave the country. Secondly, Taliban must respect the rights of women and girls, and thirdly – Afghanistan must not become a hotbed of terrorism
– said the British prime minister.
Johnson stressed, that the West's cooperation with the Taliban will be based on their real deeds, not promises to do something.
Russia will also improve relations with the Taliban, because he thinks, that normal relations should be maintained with any government in Afghanistan. This was stated by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, Director of the Second Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zamir Kabulov. Besides, Russia intends to participate in social and economic projects, sold on the territory of this country.
