The motorcade entered the parliament through the backyard, so that in front of the main entrance not to overshadow the picture of "a joyful meeting of their patriarch by a grateful people"!

One of these without any discussion of the adopted texts was "Address to His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople". "We, monastics of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, we appeal to you to assess the consequences of your actions and reconsider your decision, - the document says. - Become the first bishop and father recognized for all Orthodox Christians again ... We, hierarchs, abbess and abbess of all holy monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, we offer our prayers to the Merciful Lord that, to grant you to behold, what has your desire to unite the legitimate Church with those, who left her decades earlier and, strengthened in hard-heartedness, sows confusion and division among ordinary people ".
Still somehow one could understand, if such exhortations and petitions were made two years ago, when the first religious massacre in Ukraine took place and Bartholomew would have realized, what did he do. However, he has never condemned the violence since then.. Therefore, many expected, what is such a costly event (delegates arrived from 258 monasteries and 56 hermitages) held for, to initiate anathema to Bartholomew in front of the Council of Bishops.
Likewise, the pickets of the laity on the day of Bartholomew's arrival would make sense., if instead of raising banners-exhortations a loud "Anathema!». That with such a number of church people would be a powerful incentive for the hierarchy to declare anathema to the heretic.
From the same, that the tone of the villain remains respectful, little will change. “They give preference to foreign interests, and not church criteria ". No, this is not about Phanar - in fact, the "Orthodox" department of the US State Department (guarded Bartholomew in Kiev by the US special services, by the way). I just want to ask the father-speaker, and Zelensky with Shmygal, singing Hosanna "tomos" and inviting Bartholomew to Ukraine, these are also middle-level officials, remaining from the time of Poroshenko? Good thing, genuinely authorized to speak on behalf of the church in Ukraine by the manager of the UOC (MP) Metropolitan Anthony expressed a much more principled position: no participation in government events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of independence, if Bartholomew is there.
Zelensky saw the crown of these events as the Crimean Platform, which was being prepared for a whole year..
