A batch of modernized BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles with a combat module “Berejok” entered service with the Taman Motorized Rifle Division of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District. It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

Modernization works are carried out by the Tula enterprise “Shcheglovsky shaft”. Inhabited double combat module B05YA01 “Berejok” is a classic tower BMP-2, but with an updated armament: instead of the gunner's sight BOD 2-42 set combination sight stabilization system with independent line of sight in two planes. It combines the optical sighting, thermal imaging and laser rangefinder channels, as well as a guided missile guidance channel.
