“Kanonersky shipyard” in St. Petersburg will carry out overhaul and modernization of the deep-sea rescue vehicle AS-30 of the Pacific Fleet. It is reported by the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
According to the representative of the Pacific Fleet, the captain 1 rank Nikolai Voskresensky, deep-sea vehicle AS-30 from the Kamchatka rescue squad of the Pacific Fleet was delivered to the ship repair facility in St. Petersburg, where diagnostic work has already begun, during which the scope of work will be determined. This is about “Cannon SRZ”. According to preliminary information, engines will be repaired and modernized, Navigation and radio equipment, means of communication. Repair dates are not specified.
Modernization and overhaul of deep-sea rescue vehicles is nothing new for specialists at the Kanonersky Shipyard. Last year it was reported that the repair of a similar AS-28 aircraft from the Black Sea Fleet had been completed. The importance of repairing these devices is evidenced by the fact, that the completion of testing of the repaired device was personally reported to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Nikolai Evmenov.
Submersibles of the project 1855 “Prize” factory built “Krasnoe Sormovo” according to the project of the Nizhny Novgorod Central Clinical Hospital “Lazurite”. Length unit – 13,5 m, width – 3,8 m, height – 5,7 m. A crew of four can take on board up to 20 rescued. Autonomy of life support of the device – 120 hours, with the rescued – 10 hours. Delivered to the dive site by carrier ship, but is able to move independently at a distance of up to 39 km. Designed for use at depths up to 1000 m.
The main task of the device – rescuing crews from damaged submarines by docking to submarine emergency exits.
