And, as evidenced by numerous footage from Washington, police officers often removed the fences in front of the Capitol themselves.
Now the metal fence is about 2,5 meters dismantled. Several entrances are already open, which for more than six months were blocked by the American National Guard and police.
The American press writes, that "gradually, Washington ceases to resemble a military base and returns to its usual appearance".
Special equipment carries out loading sections of the fence, which was previously leased from one of the private companies.
At the same time, the Americans will still not be able to get into the building on Capitol Hill. Recall, that earlier parts of the building on Capitol Hill were withdrawn by the National Guard, which was originally placed directly on the floor of the Congress building.
